A Show committed to the modernization of processes
Equiplast occupied pavilions 4 and 6 at the Gran Via exhibition centre. The most important manufacturers showcased their latest products and called for a Renewal Plan to replace their existing machinery.
Together with Expoquimia and Eurosurfas, it was the biggest trade fair for applied chemicals in the Mediterranean region. With 55,000 trade visitors and an increase of 10% in the number of foreign visitors, Barcelona has become the centre of scientific and industrial debate for the sector.

The sector calls for a Renewal Plan
This plan would allow companies in the plastic and rubber sector to replace their injection machines and thus improve quality, competitiveness and the environment protection. The Spanish Plastics Centre (CEP) justifies the need for this Plan by pointing out that the cost of new machines is very high for small- and medium-sized enterprises.

Excellent visitor numbers
The joint event including Eurosurfas, Expoquimia and Equiplast finished with the following figures in 2008:
• 55,000 trade visitors
• Increase of 10% in foreign visitors
• 1,100 direct exhibitors
• More than 2,000 attendees at
seminars and conferences
