Applied research for the implementation of chemical recycling of plastic waste

Chemical recycling comprises a range of alternatives to treat plastic waste and transform it into new substances that can be reintegrated into production cycles. The path toward its implementation as an industrial reality must address different aspects related both to the processes themselves and to the pre-treatment of waste, as well as improving the quality of the resulting products, in addition to considering economic and regulatory environments. Through activities in R&D projects, the key factors across several of these aspects are identified.
